La Aurora 107 Zeppelin

As so often, drew the cigar cold and got a lot of wood coming through. Once lit, the cigar developed some beautiful and smooth flavours, wood, leather, some earth, and a pinch of pepper, as well as some bitterness, which was rather floral to me. The aromas were really subtile, even though it was woody it was never to harsh or agressive, very well balanced indeed, for this medium bodied vitola. The draw on this one was excellent, lots and lots of clouds of smoke, although the brun was a bit uneven.

I have to say that this is a classical double figurado, which ment, that there was nearly no taste at the beginning, rather hayish and like hot air, but once i was a bit into the cigar, the flavours were really showing, and got more intense, powerful and peppery towards the end of the stick. The thing that intrigued me, was that even though this stick had a massive ring gauge it got fairly hot, if smoked at a faster pace, no more than 3 or 4 puffs in a row were possible, which is in my opinion obviously linked to the piramid shape. All in all a really nice vitola, but something that takes it´s time to enjoy. Also this isn´t really something for beginners, but rather for more advanced smokers, as you need to know how to handle this beast.
